We all know that we don’t need a special day to celebrate women in our lives. Because we celebrate them every day, be it in the form of mother, daughter, sister, wife, or any other beautiful relations we have with women throughout our lives. But on March 8th, International Women’s Day is celebrated to raise awareness, recognize women’s incredible achievements, and encourage others to support gender equality.
It originated at the beginning of the 20th century when 15,000 women marched through New York City to secure better working conditions, wages, and voting rights. As a result, the first-ever National Women’s Day was proclaimed in 1909 and has spread to several other countries around the globe, eventually creating the International Women’s Day online portal in 2001, which is the vital source of empowering and educating all women.
We at Vidya believe that we should recognize and appreciate the effort of every woman out there. And hence on this occasion of International Women’s Day, we have invited respected Member Of Legislative Assembly, Mr. Bollam Mallaya Yadav, to donate and distribute sarees and vegetables to around 350 women in the area.
